Using the Brand Knowledge Base with AI

This guide explains how to use the Inspectas brand knowledge base as context for AI tools like Claude, ensuring AI-generated content stays on-brand.

What's Included​

The Inspectas Brand Context Pack is a zip file containing all brand documentation as markdown files:

How to Use with Claude Projects​

  1. Download the Brand Context Pack zip above
  2. Unzip the file — you'll get a folder of .md files
  3. In claude.ai, create a new Project
  4. Go to Project Knowledge and upload all the .md files
  5. Claude will now have full context of the Inspectas brand for every conversation in that project

Example prompt:​

Write a LinkedIn post announcing our new BAFE SP205 accreditation. Use our brand tone of voice and follow the SEO guidelines.

Claude will reference the tone of voice doc, SEO guidelines, and accreditation details automatically.

How to Use with Claude Code​

  1. Download the Brand Context Pack zip
  2. Unzip into your project root or a brand-context/ folder
  3. Create a CLAUDE.md file in your project root with:
## Brand Context

This project follows the Inspectas brand guidelines.
Refer to the files in /brand-context/ for:
- Tone of voice and writing style
- Brand colours and typography
- SEO standards
- Campaign templates
  1. Claude Code will automatically read the CLAUDE.md and reference the brand files when relevant

How to Use with Other AI Tools​

ChatGPT (Custom GPTs or Projects)​

  1. Unzip the pack
  2. Upload all .md files to your Custom GPT's knowledge base or ChatGPT Project
  3. Add instructions: "Always reference the uploaded brand guidelines when creating content for Inspectas."

Cursor / Windsurf / Other AI Coding Tools​

  1. Unzip into your project directory
  2. The AI will pick up the markdown files as project context
  3. Reference specific files in your prompts when needed

Tips for Best Results​

  • Be specific — Reference which guideline you want followed: "Use the tone of voice guidelines" or "Follow the SEO meta title format"
  • Division matters — Specify which Inspectas division the content is for (Asbestos, Fire Safety, Water Management, CDM, or Holdings)
  • Check colours — Ask the AI to use specific hex codes from the colour guidelines rather than generic colours
  • Persona targeting — Reference the audience personas when creating marketing content
  • Template compliance — Point to the campaign brief or budget template when planning campaigns

Keeping Context Up to Date​

The brand knowledge base is maintained at brand.inspectas.co.uk. When guidelines are updated:

  1. Download the latest Brand Context Pack from this page
  2. Replace the old files in your AI project/knowledge base
  3. The AI will immediately use the updated guidelines
